Confluence' Grenache 2021

Varietal: Grenache from the Blewitt Springs sub-region in McLaren Vale.

Summary: This complex, aromatic, food-friendly yet incredibly easy-drinking wine evolves in your glass. Good structure and length. It carries our distinctive savoury finish.

Vineyard: All grapes were hand-picked from three old-vine vineyards: two in the Blewitt Springs sub-region and one in the Onkaparinga Hills sub-region.

Winemaking: Several winemaking techniques were used to create 'Confluence' 2021. The 50% of the wine was fermented on whole bunches to add herbal influence. The 25% of the wine was kept fermenting with the skins for four months to impart savoury notes. Mostly first pressing juice with a small percentage of light pressings. Aged in barrels and a 2,400L French oak foudre for nine months before bottling. Screw cap.

Production: 1200 boxes were produced.

Serve at 18 degrees Celsius.

Ready to drink now, but will continue to evolve until 2030.
