Deep sandy soils with ferruginous stone and shallow clay over limestone; warm Mediterranean climate. Hand-harvested, fermented whole-cluster and native yeasts, prolonged maceration and aging in neutral French oak barrels. Nose of dried flowers, blackberries and licorice. Palate of black fruit and spices, with a hint of mushroom, fine tannins and long finish.
