The fruit was sourced from premium vineyards throughout the Columbia Valley. Most of the Chardonnay grapes were grown in the warm Horse Heaven Hills, resulting in the ripe, rich characteristics of a classic Chardonnay.
The 64% in the blend was fermented in oak and underwent malolactic fermentation to create a rich mouthfeel component in the blend.
Weekly stirring of the barrels allows the wine to gain complexity while showing classic Chardonnay flavours of apple and pear. The 36% of the blend was fermented in stainless steel tanks without malolactic fermentation to showcase the wine's bright acidity.
