APPELLATION OF ORIGIN: Maule Valley. A special selection of very old vineyards, located in one of the best areas of the VII Region.
HARVEST: The 2018 harvest started a little later than normal, given a rainy and cooler winter and spring, followed by a milder summer, then with the heat of March and April the fruit finished ripening and compensated for this slower start to the harvest, finally finishing in early May. The quality of the fruit received was healthy, there was no rain during the harvest and the ripeness was adequate. The wines have aromatic intensity and acidity together with appropriate volume and roundness.
VINIFICATION: The grapes were fermented in stainless steel vats for 7 days at a temperature of 30oC. After malolactic fermentation, the wine evolved for 15 months in French and American oak barrels to give it greater complexity and structure.
AGING: 15 months in new French and American oak barrels, and a minimum of 6 months in bottle.
