ESTATE VINEYARDS: SOURCED EXCLUSIVELY FROM TE MATA ESTATE'S OWN VINEYARDS, ESTATE VINEYARDS WINES REPRESENT THE BEST QUALITIES OF THEIR VARIETY, VINTAGE AND ORIGIN IN HAWKE'S BAY.
VINEYARDS: Grapes for Estate Vineyards' Chardonnay '20 were harvested between February 21 and March 5, 2020 from Te Mata Estate's own vineyards in the Woodthorpe Terraces, Havelock Hills and Bridge Pa Triangle sub-regions of Hawke's Bay.
WINEMAKING: Estate Vineyards' '20 Chardonnay combines the best of traditional and modern winemaking. This involved tank fermentation to preserve vibrant varietal aromas and a clear, fresh expression of fruit, along with barrel fermentation, barrel maturation on gross lees and malolactic fermentation to enhance complexity, richness and integration.
AGEING POTENTIAL: Estate Vineyards Chardonnay '20 will continue to evolve in the bottle for two to four years from harvest.
