History:
In 2012, Andre and Selina Bondar fell in love with a parcel of Shiraz: the Rayner vineyard, planted between 1947 and 1950. Located in McLaren Vale, South Australia, near Adelaide and by the ocean, this vineyard with old vines inspired their first creation, Violet Hour. Andre, who has experience in winemaking alongside Alain Graillot, presents wines that represent the new Australian wave, fresh, flavoursome and digestive.
Description:
Junto comes from vineyards on a sand and gravel hill north of McLaren Vale. This terroir produces light wines with heady perfume and savoury expression. Led by Grenache, which contributes body and texture, the wine is expressive, with aromas of raspberry, plum, spice and herbs. The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented in barrels for several years. Andre and Selina Bondar also contribute to the preservation of sites protected by the indigenous Kourna people, traditional guardians of the McLaren Vale region.
