Rubus Quercus 2023 is a blend of Garnacha and Miguel de Arco from mountain vineyards at 900 metres in the Iberian System. Fermented in stainless steel and aged for 6 months in 400L barrels, followed by 3 months in concrete, it offers an elegant, fresh, and deeply mineral profile. A limited edition that captures the essence of Jiloca and its clay-ferrous soils with quartzite.

Vintage characteristics
The 2023 vintage is defined as a very early vintage
prana, of low to medium yields for the
zone, obtaining nearly 3000 kg/ha in
our Grenache. In Miguel de Arco, the average
was 4000 kg/ha.
Climatically, the year had rainfall
average of around 300 litres per year. Speaks
most of a warm and dry year, but without
temperatures and Extreme heatstroke.
Fortunately, without hail incidents in
the zone neither spring frosts. The state

Iberian System. Jiloca region.

Plot features
Shallow, ferruginous clay soil with a component
Quartzite. Colluvial soil in Garnacha with
driving in a glass. Shallow clay soil with
Quartzite in the Arc de Triomphe with driving in
Vaso. Mountain vineyard situated at 900 metres
of altitude in different locations in Báguena and San
Martín del Río (Teruel). Age of the vineyard between 23
and 60 years.
Winemaking
In 2000 and 3000 stainless steel tanks
litres. Whole destemmed and uncrushed grapes. Ma-
grape crushing three weeks
for delicate extraction of tannins and colour.
Child-rearing
6 months in 400-litre barrels of different
ages. After maturation in barrel, it is racked
concrete deposits where 3 ages
months more
