Appellation of Origin: Maipo Andes
Winemaker: Alvaro Espinoza
Soil: Volcanic, alluvial and colluvial, basaltic (Andesite), clay loam texture, high content of rocks and organic matter. 500 metres above sea level.
Climate of the vintage: Spring was cooler than normal, but the summer was warm. Dry and healthy conditions for the harvest. Very colourful and concentrated red wines in the valley. Excellent aromatic profiles.
Age of Plants: 11 years (100% grown on the farm)
Yields (per hectare): 7 tonnes
Farm certifications: Organic (Ecocert). Biodynamic (Demeter)
Winemaking: The grapes are harvested by hand at the end of March and April. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks (5000 litres) for 25 days at 24°C. No yeast was added.
Ageing: French oak barrels for 10 months; 20% new, 40% second use, 40% third use.
Alcohol: 14%
Residual Sugar: 2.2 g/l
pH: 3.25
Total Acidity: 6.14 g/l
