Vineyard: 162 ha. Year of planting: 2001.
Precipitation: 197 mm/year. Thermal amplitude: 20oC.
Drip-irrigated vines on high trellis driven by bilateral cordon with vertically positioned shoots.
Comments
Harvest by hand, selection of bunches and destemming. Maceration and traditional fermentation at 26o/28o C for 14/16 days with selected yeasts. Malolactic fermentation completed. Storage in stainless steel tanks for 9 months.
The 20% wine is aged in French and American oak for 6 months. Minimum bottle ageing: 2 months.
