A juicy and fresh red wine with strong fruit flavours. Ample, velvety texture, good balance and sweet, round tannins. Lingering finish and fruity aftertaste. It is undoubtedly the wine to please palates that appreciate intense and expressive wines.
GROWING AND HARVESTING CONDITIONS: This Malbec comes from four different vineyards: Las Compuertas and La Consulta, vineyards over 100 years old with deep clay soils; Vistaflores, with sandy loam soils covered with calcareous rocks; and our estate vineyard located in El Cepillo, an area with a rocky surface rich in calcium carbonate and a sandy loam texture.
The 2021 season was cooler than 2020, and higher rainfall during January and March resulted in slow and progressive ripening. Late spring frosts affected yields in general across Mendoza province, with a greater impact on white varieties. Quality and health were remarkable, delivering grapes with intense colour concentration, adequate phenolic maturity in the red varieties, and optimal sugar and acid levels resulting in a unique and memorable vintage.
GRAPE VARIETY: 100% Malbec.
VINEYARD REGION: Las Compuertas (Luján de Cuyo), Chacayes (Tunuyán), La Consulta (San Carlos) and "Finca el Cepillo" (Valle de Uco, organic).
MATURATION: Aged for 10 months in French oak barrels.
IDEAL TIME TO DRINK: 10 years.
