HARVEST NOTES
In Napa Valley, a mild spring and summer, with no significant heat events, delayed the start of the harvest by four full weeks. In addition to providing extended ripening time, the mild weather ensured that the fruit retained excellent natural acidity. The cool weather continued into the autumn, allowing us to assess and harvest each block at optimum ripeness. A highlight of the growing season was that the grapes managed to develop beautiful, fully ripe flavours with lower Brix levels. As a result, the wines are elegant and complex, with excellent energy and acidity, and lovely varietal character.
