Elegant, sharp and juicy with a fresh and fruity mouthfeel of wild fruit jam. Balsamic and toasted hints define its complexity. Its round and velvety tannins are in balance with the wine's firm acidity. Long-lasting finish with a spicy and fruity aftertaste.
GROWING AND HARVESTING CONDITIONS: Minimal intervention of the terroir and gentle vinification define the complexity of Escorihuela Gascón's icon wines. The alluvial soils of the El Cepillo vineyard are deep and sandy loam with rocks rich in calcium carbonate (caliche).
GRAPE VARIETY: 85% Malbec, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Syrah.
VINEYARD REGION: Malbec and Syrah: El Cepillo Vineyard, Uco Valley; Cabernet Sauvignon: vineyards in San José, Tupungato.
MATURATION: Malbec and Syrah: aged for 16 months in French oak barrels; Cabernet: aged for 16 months in French oak barrels.
IDEAL TIME TO DRINK: 15 years.
