Head Wines Shiraz from The Brunette, from the upper part of Moppa Hill in Barossa (South Australia), with an east-facing orientation to capture the morning sun. Poor red clay soils with ferruginous stone and quartz. Fermentation in open tanks with a full 10 % -row, foot-pressed and hand-fermented for three weeks; 17 months in 228-litre barrels, a third of which are new. Nose of blackberry, cocoa, plum and a hint of tar. Palate deep and long, with firm tannins. 2018 vintage. 13.5 % vol.
